Our Blueprint
WORSHIP – A weekly gathering of believers to worship God is essential to our spiritual development. As we gather, we discover God’s plan for our lives, hear Him speak, and encourage one another to grow through encounters with Jesus. Worship is not for spectators; it is for participators of all ages!
DEVOTION – A weekly service is not enough for us to walk-out our kingdom design for being on the earth. Each one of us values closeness with Jesus by walking with Him and resting at His feet on a consistent, daily basis.
FAMILY – We have covenanted ourselves as a family and embrace the need for spiritual fathering, which is the scriptural basis for order, alignment, and accountability.
NEXT GENERATION – We are committed to leaving a legacy for our children, which involves ALL ages in the Body of Christ abiding in union. We champion the next generation and desire to walk with them because we see the Lord “turning the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers” (Malachi 4:6).
MISSION- Jesus said, “Go into all the world and make disciples…” We understand “mission” to be a lifestyle that, with God at the center, connects every part of our lives together. God’s mission is lived out at all times and places where we are (marketplace, workplace, community, etc.). Therefore, “mission” is not just something we do or support, but the result of a Holy Spirit empowered, organic lifestyle. With this understanding, we provide monthly support for dozens of missionaries throughout the world as well as monthly outreach events that feed, clothe, and minister to those outside the four walls of our building.
Our Leaders
Joshua and Ashley Potts
In 2008, Pastors Joshua and Ashley began leading First Assembly, a church that had been established for 40 years. Through a subsequent journey of personal encounters with the love of God, spiritual renewal, and alignment with apostolic authority, a refined sense of purpose emerged. Their vision is to raise-up a family of worshippers who know how deeply loved they are by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Joshua and Ashley live in their forever home in Macclenny, Florida and have five children: Cohen, Claire, Aaron, Isaac and Dolly.
